Interview with Franck Demortière, Sales Director at Digitrips

A look back at Digitrips’ story and its growth strategy

To understand the story of Digitrips, you first have to remember that it is above all a coming together of skills, knowledge and know-how.

Can you tell us more about the story of Digitrips?

To understand the story of Digitrips, you have to remember that it is above all a coming together of skills, knowledge and know-how. Originally several structures coexisted: Misterfly, H-Résa, Koedia… A decisive turning point came with the arrival of Émilie Dumont, who structured the group and brought out a unified brand. The group organised itself around a multi-product, multi-channel offer: travel agencies, TMCs, works councils, large e-commerce players such as Cdiscount, airports… in France, Belgium, Italy and, tomorrow, beyond.

On dynamic packaging, we are clearly positioned on city breaks and short urban stays - a segment largely under-exploited in recent years. We are in the launch phase on the rail product, particularly for European city breaks, both in B2B and white label.

How has the sales organisation been structured?

Our sales organisation is structured by market and by customer segment, not by product. We have B2B teams in France, Belgium and Italy, covering travel agencies, networks, tour operators and TMCs. Tomorrow, we will build an international development unit.

What led you to call on IMPACT CONSULTANTS?

We clearly had internal gaps: hands, brains, skills. IMPACT CONSULTANTS appeared to be the most relevant solution, with real market knowledge. Working together on the SalesFactory, the collaboration surfaced the need for a Sales Operations role, temporarily held by Océane Recorbet.
